Let's prevent the idea that we are numbers at work. We don't hire people to check a box or to keep a seat warm. We hire them because we value what they can do. As a unique individual.

About the Event
Miriam Webster Dictionary defines Diversity as : the quality or state of having many different forms, types, ideas, etc. Whereas the definition of Individuality is: total character peculiar to and distinguishing an individual from others. In a world of diverse populations and backgrounds, be the difference. We are all well aware that the term “diversity” is a hot topic right now. Many businesses are hiring Directors of Diversity, hiring diverse people, and creating diversity groups within their businesses. Similarly to flexing trading cards as a kid, these businesses are doing the same to their competitors. They are showcasing the diversity that they have. In return, what are they doing to showcase their individuality? For example, just because they may have a trans person, a disabled person, and a black person in their deck of cards, what are they doing to showcase the skill sets and potential of the individuals? What are they doing to help evolve one of those cards? I invite you all to take a moment to reflect upon Individuality versus Diversity.
